Phil Bellamy
Operations Manager

Phil joined 80^e as Assistant Underwriting Manager in January 2002 having gained 13 years of underwriting experience within DAS. He took over the role of 80^e Operations Manager in December 2005 and now has the responsibility of managing the underwriting, claims and credit control functions within the team.

A Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, Phil now regularly contributes to various industry panels such as the Civil Justice Council and the ABI ATE panel. Phil was instrumental in 80e's successful landmark case of Rogers v Merthyr Tydfil CBC, in the Court of Appeal in 2006.

George Bladon
Sales Manager

George joined DAS in 1988 and gained 12 years valuable experience in the Claims Department before moving to the After the Event division in March 2000. He is a Chartered Insurer and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

George's role within 80^e as Sales Manager means he is responsible for the sales team and developing new business as well as maintaining existing relationships with solicitors and specialist ATE Intermediaries.

Simon Mayhew
Operations Manager

Simon joined DAS in 2002, following 10 years at Royal & Sun Alliance, where he had worked as a claims handler and in the Operations Team.

He moved to 80^e in September 2004 and was promoted to Assistant Manager in January 2008. Simon is responsible for managing the Case Management Team and deals with technical queries relating to CFAs, 80^e Contracts and ATE product development in general, as well managing relationships with Solicitors and ATE Intermediaries.

Jim Donovan
Assistant Manager, Underwriting and MI

Jim joined 80^e in 2002 as an Assistant Underwriter and was promoted to Senior Underwriter in 2006. In February 2008 he was promoted to Assistant Manager.

In his role he is responsible for the assessment and underwriting of individual cases. He also has the task of producing management information and statistical analysis relating to the performance of 80^e overall.

Nick Waters
Solicitor Account Manager

Nick joined DAS in 1994 and was an Underwriting Assistant for 4 years before moving to the Claims Department, where he worked as a Senior Claims Handler.

He joined 80^e in June 2006 and in his role as Solicitor Account Manager, he is responsible for developing new business and maintaining relationships with and providing training for our agents.

David Brown
Assistant Manager, Case Management

David joined DAS in February 2002 as a member of the Customer Claims Unit dealing with motor claims.

He moved to 80e in 2003 and was made a Senior Case Handler in 2004 dealing with complex cases and costs issues. He was promoted to Team Leader in 2008 and to his current role as Assistant Manger, Case Management in 2010. David is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives.

Sarah Bird
Assistant Operations Manager

Sarah joined DAS in 2000 as a claims handler. She moved to 80^e in 2002 as a Senior Case Handler and was promoted to Team Leader in 2004. In 2008, Sarah was appointed as the Training and Audits Coordinator.

In 2010, Sarah became Assistant 80^e Operations Manager assisting with the day to day running of the department, dealing with technical queries and overseeing all the training and auditing within the department.

Zoey White
Solicitor Account Manager

Zoey joined 80^e in 2006, having previously worked for three years at Allianz Legal Protection in both BTE (before the event) and ATE (after the event) claims.

Zoey's role within 80^e covers the regions of the North West, South West & East Midlands. She is responsible for developing new business, as well as maintaining relationships with and providing training for our agents.

A graduate in Law and Business, Zoey is a Member of the Institute of Legal Executives, has trained as a Mediator and is also a Justice of the Peace for North Avon.

Kariann Pickford
Team Leader

Kariann is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and joined DAS in 2002.

After working in 80^e for several years as a Senior Case Handler, she has worked in the Legal Advice Department for 3 years. Kariann has now returned to 80^e as a Team Leader supervising a team of Case Handlers as well as dealing with technical queries & managing relationships with Solicitors.
